Today the disc is very popular. The main cause is the data reading speed and the big memory.
The total memory of a CD is 750 MB. Anyone can go anywhere with his data. No need to get a portable PC or Laptop for short project or work. But after many years the data like software, program e.t.c are developed. So the memory of a CD was not enough to carry this type of data. For this reason people need another type of disc of more memory.
DVD was coming for cover it.
A memory of a DVD disc actually 4.7 GB. It is more powerful than CD.
Another type of disc already come. Called Blue-ray disc. It is too powerful. The reading speed is too much than other disc system. It's memory in single layer up to 25-50 GB and in dual layer 50-100 GB.
Blue violet laser is using read this type of disc. The name Blue-ray disc came from this Blue violet laser.
Blue-ray disc was developed by Blue-ray disc Association.
